Dr. Vasilyeva completed her General Surgery Residency in 2020 and Complex Surgical Oncology Fellowship in 2022 at the University of British Columbia. To further develop clinical expertise in managing breast cancer patients, she worked with local and international world experts in treating breast cancer with special focus on oncoplastic surgical approach. She gained additional training in peritoneal malignancies at the world’s highest volume center in Basingstoke, UK.
Dr. Vasilyeva is actively involved in research, particularly in breast cancer outcomes and innovative treatment protocols. She is passionate about mentoring and teaching, currently serving as the lead for medical clerkship in the General Surgery Department at Vancouver General Hospital. Her goal is to advance Surgical Oncology and make a meaningful impact in breast cancer treatment.
